This is the true room divider screens story as it happened, but let’s start from the very beginning…
The location? A really big warehouse in Boston we decided to buy not more than a couple of years ago.
The owners? A group of friends with common passions being able to discuss for hours on everything and agree on nothing.
The problem? The warehouse layout!
At the very beginning , it was only a one wide open space, then we built some basic infrastructure that it undoubtedly needed.
A pleasant little kitchen with hooks disseminated in all places for hanging the kitchen tools, a big enough table to let each of us to eat together.
Two bathrooms.
It really was adequate to contain all of us the best way, and absolutely perfect to start organizing great parties
The problems arised when we needed to determine the individual rooms layout.
That was the beginning of the war, not a soul could agree on anything.
Finally the decision was to consider everyones ideas.
I have to admit, it was a really good exercise, useful to know more about each other and the personal way of thinking.
All of us desidered to have a personal space, but nobody was considering the privacy properly. We set up some sorts of bedrooms, better to say ” sleeping spaces” with the room divider screens and that was the perfect solution!
We built several smaller rooms and doubled the space to play with. We were very proud of the “New Warehouse” layout.
This is the story, and now I can say for sure, what kind of days were those happy days!
